Hi not been on for a few days . It his so hard keeping on track . When you got family want to take you out for dinner . I try to pick something that will not put weight but it his not alway easy. Some time there no chicken on the menu . Good luck to every one out there who his wanting to lose weight

I find that steak or pork can be ok, it's usually the creamy sauces you want to avoid. Fish is also good if you stay away from the battered kind! :)

Thankyou I will try that steak I can not eat fish has it’s makes me poorly

I like omelettes with a side salad.. Or a nice roast dinner, plenty of veggies.

Yes I will try that has I am going out on wed night for dinner .i try so hard to keep my weight down has I had a hip replacement 12 weeks ago so it’s not good to put weight on I have lost 17 lbs

You've done really well losing 17lbs - you must be doing something right!

You've had some suggestions about good options and also, if you're going out for dinner, you could cut the calories on your other meals that day. And go easy the next day.

Hi if I know which pub/restaurant I am going to and have a look at their menu online and decide what option I will have- sometimes if you are lucky they have the calories for you, if not I will input the meals into calorie counter to see which are the better options. But if you look for the NHS 12 week weight loss plan then look at week 7- that gives useful tips for dining out.

I just eat the main protein and don't have chips or potatoes. but ask for extra veg. That seems to work for me. It is hard though because some chefs use far too much salt and cover everything in butter or cream so you have to be picky.. but it does no harm to have a taste of things and modify things the next day to balance things out... You have done so well losing all that weight you must be doing something right!! Enjoy your night out!
