I’m 59 and have been a member of most slimming clubs out there again and again. I lose weight and eventually put on more than I lost. I now have a large amount of weight to lose and I’m at the end of my tether. When I exercise now, even a walk, I’m aches and pain from my head to my toes. I’m not afraid of a challenge I just want to be healthy again. Feeling very low.

Looking for a miracle
You have already made a positive move being on here and are ready to make that change! I find most groups boil down to profit at the end of the day and this is free and teaches you to eat properly, not cut out certain food groups, which is not very healthy. Follow the 12 week plan and you will be able to eat proper portions of proper food. Take the exercise slowly. I know this from experience and need physio due to literally trying to run before I could walk. Try discussing exercise with your GP. Good luck and use this forum. It’s full of great support! 🙂
Welcome, I think you need to make sustainable changes that you can see a new way of life rather than a diet otherwise you will go back to old ways and regain. Don’t try to lose weight quickly, focus on changes you can keep up!
Hi EvaGC . Your story mirrors mine but you can change it and you have taken the first step by joining this wonderful forum. I joined in May - 6 stone overweight and lurked in the background until June when I joined a weigh in day and haven't looked back. I am 61 and have arthritis in my knees so don't do much excercise yet ( but looking to do more as knees not as sore now ) and I have lost 1 stone 7 lbs since June. I haven't put any weight on but have stayed the same weight a few times which is great. Just take a day at a time and don't try to change everything at once. There's always a lovely administrator around to help you out and loads of others on here for advice and support and with an ear to lend when you need a rant or a moan😜😶. I know after 30+ years of failed dieting that I have found a healthy eating plan that works and look forward to reaching my goal sometime next year. Wishing you well on your journey - you can do it.😊

I am absolutely with you. I feel what you feel and am decidedly fed up. Maybe we can do this together x
Hi EvaGC you've most definitely come to the right place. I know exactly how you feel. I am walking the same road honey. I think the key is to lose weight slowly. Getting accustomed to eating better so when you reach your ideal weight you will therefore not flip out and end up with weight rebound. Which is putting on more weight then you lost.
All the best honey. When I get my salt or sugar cravings I have a little of what I fancy. Then over the weeks I could tell myself that I don't need it.
