Is it just me?

Simply getting fatter and fatter. I know what I'm doing wrong..but I keep on doing it anyway. My knee surgery excuses are old now and diabetes is chasing me. Its kinda depressing. I feel outta control and I hate exercising. Ray Charles had "Georgia" on his mind...FOOD is constantly on mine. But its a new day and I am trying something different. Affirmations: I can do this, I will succeed, food does not control me, I am in charge..no chocolate tomorrow...well just a little. Its midnight and my life changes as of tomorrow.

Good morning Marleyloo, great mind set.For me the key is keeping myself occupied, making exercise just part of my routine and not buying food I can't have in the house. Look forward to hearing about your journey in coming weeks and months. Best of luck on your weight lose journey.

Hi MarleyMoi welcome to the forum- when I first made the decision to loose weight in January (a new Years resolution which I have kept!) I did no exercise, however I started walking and gradually increased the distance and speed, it was only several months later that i introduced alternative exercises- NHS strength & flex, Wii fitness etc. most weight loss is due to diet not exercise- exercise helps with toning and stamina building- good luck

Hi and welcome there's some good advice given 👍 I would just like to say if foods always on your mind you need something to replace it with, reading, exercise, craftwork (Christmas is coming so why not make some presents instead of buying them).

Ask yourself what do I want more to move forwards to a healthier me or stay the same? Being active on here helps as you see others giving good tips also how others struggle too and turn things around. It's ok to struggle we all do, it's ok to have a blip every now and again, just getting back on track is key.

You have lots of time to loose weight, slow and steady is best, for chocolate you can have it, I have found if I have a few squares of either 70% or I've found 85% dark chocolate I eat it slower and it's good for you😊

Give yourself a small goal, achieve it and move on to the next, £1 for every 1lb weight lost and use the money to treat yourself at the end.😊

Hope you find your new journey easier than you think, don't forget to choose a weigh in day too.

You can do this, for you and only you!❤️
