I don't think there is a healthy take away
What do you fancy? Chinese, Indian, fish & Chips?
I have had takeaway about twice and both those times were well over 800 cals and they were just guesstimates
Crackers right, there are so much fat in take always not to mention salt and sugar, if you fancy something like Chinese, Indian or Italian, how about trying healthy versions or DIY ones. The hairy hikers did a cook book on fake-aways. If you search it on google I’m sure it’ll come up!
I'm thinking tandoori chicken with boiled rice or chapati bread??
A lot of places will tell you how many calories your food will hold. If not, if you typed into google how many calories would “this certain food” contain it usually comes up with a rough estimate
Difficult one this ffionparsons 😕
No food is banned it’s just a question of how you choose to spend your calories. Food that is high is fat and carbohydrates like most take aways will be high calorie, only you can decide if it’s worth it 😊
I still have Fish and chips when I fancy. Take the batter off the chips and measure the chips so I stay in my allowance.
Same with Chinese and Indian, usually measure out half and that way u have some for the next day too! Choose tomato based rather than creamy and I often have veg sides rather than bread or rice.
that's a good idea. I'm thinking if getting a tandoori chicken but as a starter.
Get whatever you want and give away everything you don't need.
We have that philosophy as my Husband will happily eat his all up and then move on to what I don't 'need'! He's one of those annoying people who never puts on a lb too!!
When I looked all this sort of thing up when I first started it told me that bits of KFC chicken and chips were not too bad as this was around 600 Cals. I have this occasionally and do enjoy it. I have never put on weight the next few days and during most weeks when I have had this I still lost weight. If you look on KFC website it will give you calories for each item.
I'm having an Aldi chicken tikka ready steady cook meal tonight. All the ingredients are there to stir fry. The whole pack is 532 cals. Supposed to be two portions but I'll eat it all without any rice. My version of a takeaway and it cooks quicker than waiting for the delivery. Its only £2.99!
Not sure on calories but for Chinese either chicken or prawns with black bean or oyster sauce and boiled rice. Indian would be tandoori, rogan josh, Bhuna or tarka Dahl with boiled rice. Hope that helps.
