Start to a new me

1st October 2017 must see the start of a new motivated me. Over the years I have tried every fad and sensible diet going only to end up bigger than I started .... reason being the word diet sticks in my head making my brain go into panic mode and make me eat more.

I hear of the alcoholics and drug addicts but what about foodacholics /food addicts.

ESA and PIP are not given freely for our addiction!!

Right with the head hopefully in the right place let's get moving at last on this shifting of pounds. Fun not misery please..... 15st 8 lb (218lbs) OUCH!!

GOAL: 10st.

Let the game begin.............

What a great name you've chosen... well done!!😊

Looking forward to celebrating each success along the way with you and hearing about your trials and triumphs. There's plenty of advice and tips from the members here, and don't forget that you have a lot of experience to share so don't be shy!!!

A pound a week is 3 and a half stone in a year. It takes lifestyle change and you'll feel all the better and so much more confident for it!!

Bring it on!! You've got this.

Get two jars/tins. Put marbles or small stones in one totalling the number of lbs you want to lose. Each lb lost transfer from the full tin to other.

Sounds silly but I going to do it as will make it more visual plus the family will be egging me on to empty tin number one 😁

I am absolutely with you! I have gained 2 st. in the last two years, admittedly caused by comfort eating following a bout of surgeries, but the excuse is getting very thin now - unlike me. 1 October and I have started recording all calories using the on-line counter so I am truly hoping that I can get down to my goal, which is the weight I was before I wasn't if you follow that argument. Good luck to you and to me

Good luck , hope your recovered after your surgeries.

We can do this the 1st October is ours....

I have got two jars . In one I have put 78 small stones (can do marbles ) as 78lbs is my first goal. Each lb lost will see a transfer of a small stone to other jar/tin. I hope this will help me as makes it more visual 🙄

Good luck. I'm a believer in small changes. I made small changes to my diet and exercise regime. This has added up to a five stone loss, dropping five dress sizes and I'm fitter than I've ever been. It's not easy. Consistency is everything and then those small changes add up to one massive difference.

Well my name must now change to 2019Slim as 2018 did not work. 15 st 10lb oops. I’m not complaining though as done by my own fair hand and I must say I have had a great fun year apart from the weight that is 😂.

Righto 2019 it is and I will stay on here this time..... I have seen your stories and well done to you all.

I must do this ....,..
