Tea troubles..

I thought chicken in sauce with some carrots sounded like a good idea for tea, is it normal to have a round of whole meal bread with it? For filling value and to soak up some of the sauce afterwards or should I just leave it out?

Slice of bread is about 100, chicken portion 200 max, prob less, carrots 40 so enough calorie space I'd say

The sauce is 89 cal aswell, so you think there's still enough room?

Do the math...

Chicken 200

Sauce 90

Carrots 40

Bread, 1 slice 100

Pudding 100 (yoghurt with some fruit here)

530 for tea so far

I won't have any dessert possibly an evening snack, it's over 800 but I'd like to just say 800

It's best to quickly count during the whole day.

Just keep a calculation on your phone or use a calorie counting app

You have to know what goes in

I have done so all day, I just wanted to know if it's was okay. Sorry. I'll do the math next time.

Lol no need to say sorry. You'll get the hang of it too!

I'm now so used to see food and directly count the calories that come with them 😂

Im an accountant so that probably makes things worse, haha.

Great question shared by many newbies. I downloaded the Track app where i can keep track of my calories as the day goes on. Soon you'll be a pro at it and offering advice to other newbies.😊 Best wishes and keep the questions coming!

If it fits in your calories and you enjoy it it's fine. Or it's also worth considering if something lower GI like steamed new potatoes would fill you up for longer. What satiates one person doesn't work so well for another so experiment as it's very individual 😀
