Hello!

So I'm new to this, I've tried to lose weight before and it's worked but I've always ended up saying I don't mind being fat and going back to indulging in all the bad things!

I am currently trying to quit smoking, yet losing weight is something I want to work on more and that could come after or during!

I am an extremely fussy eater! I eat no fish or salad! The only veg I eat are carrots and peas and fruit wise I only really eat grapes. So I find it really hard to find low fat and low calorie meals to make. If anyone could help with that, that would be great.

I've started to MAKE myself take my dogs for a walk to get a bit more exercise in as I work in an office. But the walks aren't exactly the longest at the moment, which will hopefully gradually move up in distance and briskness!

Any words of advice, recipes, work outs that you think would work that would be great? I think I'm looking more towards calorie counting if that helps?

Thanks guys!

Are there daily diarys we use personally like print offs? And where do we post our weigh-ins? I'm quite tech savvy but I'm clueless on here! Sorry!

Hi Hannah21 .I'd just like to wish you very good luck on your weight loss journey. It's very difficult to give up smoking and watch your weight at the same time. I used to smoke 20 a day at one time and my doctor prescribed a course of Champix for me and it really worked. I haven't smoked now for about five years. It was the birth of my first grandchild which gave me the motivation to do it and it's that which is motivating me now to lose weight.

Please read through the newbie post carefully, which YellowRose55 has sent you and you'll soon be up and running.

There are lots of recipes on the site to help you and the Daily Diary is amazing for keeping you on track and will give you lots of ideas for healthy meals.

Again the very best of luck.

I've finally sussed it! Today's been a busy day! I blame it on my weary head! Going to get some sleep, and get up bright and early ready for my day 1 weigh-in and start of my journey! 💪🏼💪🏼
