hi there, did anyone else hear Stephen Nolan on R5 on Friday I think it was talking about trying to lose weight? It was heartfelt and very moving.
I have decided to act to lose the 3 stone I have been carting around for the last five years or so. I am only 5ft 1" so that is quite a lot for me. In fact I am in bed most of the time, in pain and on oxygen 24/7 so activity is a very limited option.
I have started by drinking more water to ease hunger pangs, keeping an exel spreadsheet record of my calorie intake, having smaller portions and an average of 1100kcal per day. Eating more meat, more fruit and less cereal ( a bit Atkins) and cutting out sugar. One small treat - with my mid-morning Americano I am trying a different bar of plain chocolate a week! It is supposed to be good for you, is a relatively small expense and I want a bit of interest in my diet. Mid you finances are too tight to try the new 'Welsh' chocolate 'Nomnom' alas!
