Hello I'm a newbie

Rhiannon13 profile image

Hi all I am new here. I have put on weight gradually over ten years and now need to lose quite a lot now. I am making a proper commitment to doing so. I have around 3st to lose, just seems like a long process to get there. I want to improve my health and fitness and losing weight is part of that. I used to be very fit, active and a normal weight. I want to regain that, if I can. I am looking forward to being here with you all. A bit apprehensive about the mountain I am about to climb! I might need your support bigtime.....

Hello Rhiannon and welcome

I was in your position at the beginning of July needed to lose weight, lower my blood sugar ,and blood pressure I too needed to lose about 3 stone

I have shifted nearly 14kg to date and have about another 8kg to go. I had not dieted for years but calorie counting and increasing activity has done it for me and I hope will continue to do so

Just think one week at a time that you are losing that weight

Best wishes

Hi Rhiannon,

I can really identify with your post. I'm a newbie as well. I have also put weight on over time and have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but I am determined to make lifestyle changes and improve my fitness. Your comment about a 'mountain to climb' really resonates. I have weighed myself and need to lose between 5-5 and a half stone. I'm just going to take one day at a time. Good luck, you sound determined enough to achieve your goal. See you on top of the mountain! 😃👍🏔
