Trying to loose 1 stone
when you say baby food snacks do you mean you eat what baby eats or your appetite is like that of a baby?
if the first then definitely consider slow changes. Planning will be priority. An admin will be along to get you to the right places to start your journey. Good luck 🍀
Thanks if I feel like a snack baby food snacks or an apple I think is healthier than gorging on chocolate
Hi Bluelady-sing Bit concerned about your reference to eating baby snacks. Massively reducing your calorific and nutritional intake will do very little to enable your body to lose weight. It will just accept that you are in starvation mode.
Have you looked at the BMI calculator to see what range of calories it suggests for you? You may be surpriser by this. Many members of the forum have started to lose weight when they have upped their calories.
Try to steer clear of processed foods and anything that is sold as low fat because they generally have sugar, sweeteners or other things in them to make up for the lack of taste. Good healthy hats are important for us.
Why not pop over to the Daily Diary and check out what other people are eating and the calories they consume.
You need to consider why you gorge on chocolate. Is it because you like it or are you bored, or do you tell yourself you deserve it? I tell myself I deserve not to have it and if I do have a square, it is just one square of good quality dark chocolate, 90 or 99% Cacao - and it is lovely.
Good healthy fats will curb your desire to snack.
Keep on keeping on and don't forget to measure yourself or consider you health. I lose weight very, very slowly but I am wearing smaller trousers and feel much healthier.
ok but the less calories I eat the better! I have light meals lunch is usually a salad with a few pasta in it 188 cals tastes good. For dinner a prawn curry with one slice of nan bread 450 cals in bread and 250 prawn curry with spinach for iron as I an anaemic. I will try to use your calculator
the less calories the better is not a good formula. it lowers your metabolism in the long run- your body goes into the starvation mode and starts storaging fat reserves. the low calorie intake is also not sustainable on the long run. i think you will get enough of good information aroumd the forum to set yourself on the right track. the 12 week plan is also a good option.
Yeah, I did the starvation thing and my weight is exactly the same for eight weeks now!!! I can't fix it!
sorry to hear that. i am sure it can be fixed - maybe you can get some advice from our more experienced members. i am not realy good in the field of nutrition but i did remember this first rule by heart
I s it possible for you to step up exercise a bit (just power walking or swimming or something you are not doing now to get your metabolism going. Im a great believer in 3 spaced out meals a day but making them heallthy.Try following the 12 week NHS eating plan to give you an idea.Im no expert and am sort of good at maintaining so I need to make some changes also. You will get there just stop and think as to where and how you can make changes and get started You will get support and help on here.Good luck Come on you can and will do it and you will feel so proud and happy with your achievement
Fill up on fruit and vegetables these kick start you metabolism.
