Maybe time to get back in the pool

It's looking too wet for my usual 30 minutes of gardening tonight so i'm going to head to the pool. Problem is it makes me too active for the rest of the evening. Fine if i'm busy but otherwise can be annoying if i'm trying to relax and go to sleep.

Does any one know how long it takes and how to unwind after exercising. I go to bed between 10pm & 10:30pm these days so i'm wondering when to stop so i can still get a good night's sleep.

Hi Greyone

Good idea to go for a swim, might as well get wet there as in the garden! lol

I usually do my exercise during the day so I can wind down during the evening but everyone is different.

Like Rose says, everyone is different.

Maybe a book?

Well if it's not too dark , it would be ok to garden in the rain after a swim. I'm going to try and finish by 8pm then it's not too late for my tea.

You will get wetter in the pool! :) x

Well there was not a blob of mud in sight. Even the palm trees must have been hydroponic.Still for my first go in a few months i managed 28 lengths in about at hour with 16 minutes resting in total.

Why not trying meditation 20 to 30 minutes. I do my exercise in the afternoon. Evening is harder where you say you cannot sleep. I would do it past 6-6:30 pm. Give the body and mind a change to relax for you.

Everyone appears to be talking about meditation and i think its often spoken with mindfulness. Anyway i had a really good time in the pool for 1 hour, swam for about 44 minutes so i'm past my 30 minutes for the day at least. I finished at 6pm thinking if i took it easy for 2 hours i would be ok and that seemed to work and i had a good nights sleep. I think the best idea is as you say not to exercise too late so i'm going to try it again next Thursday.

Still meditation sounds like a good idea thx
