Slow start

I've been back trying the diet for 2 weeks, sticking to my calories most days and walking an average of 10000steps a day... and I've lost 3 pounds. I know better than nothing but I'm sure this dedication in my younger days would have been good for half a stone. I just wish it were this difficult to put it on. To add insult to injury I have very skinny toned legs... they weren't fat to begin with ... it's round my stomach I want rid!

An average of 1.5lbs per week, Besom, is a perfect weight loss and will probably stay off longer than the fast weight loss of days of yore! :)

Maybe you need to do some more specific exercises, aimed at strengthening your core, bearing in mind, that as we age, our body shape changes and we tend to have thickening waistlines?

Keep up the great work :)

Thank you. Patience is not one of my virtues!

I do understand, I used to be able to lose a stone in a fortnight! Unfortunately, it led to me being 9 stone overweight! I'll take the slow and steady every time now! :)

Moreless is right, we all want to lose weight quickly, but it is much better to lose slowly and steadily if you want it to stay off. Keep going and in a few weeks you will really notice the difference. I find breaking it up into 7 lb steps with a non food or drink reward as you lose each half stone helps me to keep motivation. Good luck and we'll done for making such a good start.

2 Pounds in 3 weeks is fantastic progress!! Keep at it. You are doing great.

Slow and steady wins the race of health. Just continue with what you are doing.

Love yourself, love your body, love your routine... Keep moving forward!! :)

I can relate to the tummy. That's where all mine is too. Just slow and steady. It will come off in time. Just keep going.
