I'm finding it difficult to lose any weight despite trying to eat healthily. Apart from working and walking my dogs I don't exercise admittedly and could probably do with doing yoga or something. I'm 54 and a bit creaky!!! I'd like to lose about a stone but it's proving very hard. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi, I'm 60 and a bit creaky too! My only exercise is housework, pottering in the garden and walking and I've managed to lose weight, it's 80% food consumption and 20% activity so, my advice would be to weigh and record everything and make sure you are eating the correct calories for weight loss dependant on your height, current weight as per the BMI checker. Good luck!
When I first joined I wasn't eating that much, only around 900-1000 calories. I thought it was better to eat less calories all the time than the bmi calculator said to lose weight because I would lose weight quicker all the time then surely. I then wasn't losing anything and getting annoyed. I mentioned it on here and someone said to me something like how many calories are you eating? because if you are not eating the amount the bmi calculator tells you to you cannot lose weight. I asked why and they told me that your body thinks you are starving it and turns what you do eat into body fat instead so that it can continue. Body fat weighs more than calories does so it stops you from losing weight.
