When i first ate large quantities of beetroot (i had a glut in the garden) it turned my pee pink and my poo red, i thought i had bowl cancer but realised what was happening just before rushing to the doctor
Oh no!!! Gosh that sounded like a worrying time for you!, i had a small jar from aldi - pickled - didnt stop me still reaching for the chocolate though - but it was just two small Milky ways
Hi Zest, yes pickled beetroot. I purchased it yesterday to go with a slice of ham and salad in the week but i hadn't bought beetroot in such a long time i tucked into the jar. Im trying to turn my eating habits around. Its difficult but im going to give it a real good go!!

Do like beetroot but that juice, it stains anything and everything it touches.
I got mildly addicted to cornichon pickles when in France, tiny tart super crunchy pickled cucumbers, great finger food for a satisfying nibble and if you blitz them with a little mayo it makes perfect homemade tartare sauce.
