I am organised, I promise!!!..

Hi all,

In my family I am known as the person relied on to be very organised and always on top on things. So as you all know we went on a lovely holiday. The coming back, made sweeter by all the hugs and kisses I can now steal from my grandbabies again.

I have had this niggly thought in the back of my mind that my car’s MOT is due, but as the garage where I have it done always sends me a notice that it is due, I let it go. These days they do not give you the certificate after testing, it is logged onto the Gov. Vehicle registration site directly. Lesson: do not rely on other people, put it in your own diary for the next year! Finally not wanting to let go of this niggly thought, I got myself on the internet and looked up my car details on the Gov Reg site. My car MOT was due 2weeks ago!!!! Luckily I do not drive this car regularly as it is a little 2seater that is not good when you have two grandsons to fit in. I have now got to drive it to the garage on Tuesday (will be looking over my shoulder all the way to have it done. Hubby knowing how nervous I am when I know that I am now not “legal” kindly offered to do it for me. It is still fully taxed and insured until end May, so lets hope that nothing happens until it is safely at the garage for the MOT

I think, Mammou, that as long as you're driving the car to it's MOT test, the police are happy, but don't forget that your insurance is null and void, without an MOT certificate.

It's so easy to forget these things, when there are so many daily things to keep our minds full!!
