Hi everyone, I have just downloaded the nhs app on my phone and laptop and the nutra app and am so worried don't really know what i am doing. I thought by downloading the apps it was going to give me an actual plan, telling what to eat and when etc but it doesn't so now I feel a bit lost. I have over 7 stone to lose and have done every diet on the market, they have worked but i don't stick to them for one reason or another. I have an extremely busy life, working 5 days a week, studying to be a TA, looking after my 4 children and have a huge house and OCD about cleanliness so i never stop (you'd think i would lose weight) I am also my own worst enemy. I really feel uncomfortable in my own body now and look about 10 years older than i actually am and my self esteem is at an all time low because of this. Can anyone give me a rough idea of where to start and what I should do to kick start my 12 weeks, I know that obviously my journey will be A LOT longer than 12 weeks and this is a whole new start but you know what i mean lol..... thank you in advance xx

Scared!!!
Don't be scared juliepoolie , an administrator will be along soon I'm sure. If you follow NHS 12 week plan, you eat what you like just keeping in your calories. Start there and learn more as you go along. I'm at work, so very hurried response. I promise it will become clearer😊🌺
Hello juliepoolie and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum 😊
You have taken the first brave step so well done 😊
Here are a few suggestions for getting the best out of the forum , but please note if you are viewing this through the HUApp many features aren't available so imsuggestbyou use the full websute version.
The first place to look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺
I'm glad you have seen the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for ☺
Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺
The forum also have group weigh-ins every day if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page ☺
You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺
Best wishes
Anna
Sorry haven't been on here but kids have been off and we have been busy. Few days out and few seaside fish and chip shops on the way. I've still managed to be reasonably well behaved good wise but not brilliant i have lost 4lb since I started and considering I haven't been brilliant i am quite pleased with that. Hope everyone is doing well catch up soon xx
