I am a bit apprehensive as this is my first long weekend off while trying my new life improvement and if my past is anything to go by could be a binge fest.
As anyone been through this and how do you cope.
Thanks.

I used to worry about weekends, for me the key is planning and pre-logging my food. Having decided what I am 'definitely' going to eat I then know what calories are 'left' so I can decide whether to indulge further or not .... You can do it 🌻
Hidden I would say planning is everything. Know what you will eat and when so that you know what you are looking forward to. Also plan how you will use your time positively - and that could be as simple as reading, being out with your dog, cleaning the bike/car/garage or watching TV/video/catch up. This is your time to use for you, special time. Allow your eating and drinking to support you to have a fab weekend rather than compromise you.
Enjoy a well earned break.
Don't build it all up in your mind, Dread! Every day is the same. Same you, same calorie requirement, same number of meals. If you think of it as nothing out of the ordinary, then that's exactly what it will be
I'm "off" every day of the week and still manage to stay on the straight and narrow, mainly, and have done for 18 months! Any transgressions, can be made up for, in the days that precede and follow
The trick for me is to find fun things to do that don't revolve around food or alcohol. Walking your dog, visiting family or friends, whatever hobbies you have etc 😊
Good luck
Unfortunately I have always been a workhorse all my life and find it hard to switch off. If I'm working I don't get hungry but as you said I will probably be better occupying my mind.
😁
Thanks everyone I am lucky as I'm not a drinker plus the social scene near us is dead.
My other half and I have planned out the weekend rain or shine and its nice long walks maybe with a healthy picnic and family visit will be on the cards also.
