At the w/e I posted an observation about other things going wrong when you're trying to put something right. kantara71 summed it up succinctly as "Sod's Law".
Last night I had my first physio session on how to deal with the ongoing problems with my spine (As it happens, its all about exercising to build up my core strength). Its been a longish road complete with x-ray and MRI to get to that point. Excellent, great steps forward.
I'm now laid up in bed with flu like symptoms. I actually chuckled to myself as I finished writing that last bit. To understand the true essence of this post, all you have to do is sprinkle the above liberally with your choice of expletives.
I'm still not going to get down. Actually not at all hungry up to now so I may have started the 5:2 without even trying

See you end on a positive! Being ill sometimes gives you a chance to chill, watch tv. Just don't comfort eat - stick to soup! You can get over this and then start on building your core. Good luck π
Thank you so much. I am positive. I'm beginning to really believe that I can continue this way for the rest of my life (not the being ill bit). I know that sounded dramatic but that is really the only option as I see it.
I even emailed my dad this morning (pre-feeling-ill) with a long list of positives despite poor results at the weigh-in yesterday. I'm not complacent but I feel really positive.
BTW I've exhausted my knowledge of producing emojies here :O... can someone explain to me how to do produce all the other cool ones or point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
