How to lose 24lb in 2 months
Hi and welcome, Jackie,
I'm not sure there is a best and safest way to lose 24lbs in two months, when 1 -2lbs per week is the recommended average loss. Maybe it would be better not to focus on the end goal, but to concentrate on making healthier choices every day and doing things that improve your fitness and make you feel good
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Have a look at the 12 week plan, as many people have been successful following it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
The majority of our daily weigh-in's are now full, but we still have spaces in Thursday's and Sunday's and you'd be very welcome to join either. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
You can do meal replacement so your body goes into ketosis but I'd not it wrecked my immune system and I regained what I lost
1-2 lbs a week is best it didn't come on in a day look after your body and it will look after you
You ask if we know a safe way - well safe is the key word here, Jackie. There is no safe way to lose that amount. Safe weight loss works out at about 1-2lb per week. If you haven't followed any weight loss regime before, you might find you get a bigger loss in the first week or two, which is a bonus, but after that it will settle down to 1-2lb. Is this for a particular event? If so, start now and in two months you could have lost 16lb, which will make you feel great and look good too. Why not give it a try? We are all here to support you. 😊
hello you should take a look at channel 4 8pm on tues, a programme called how to lose weight well, they have been showing different types of diets. there have been people on there who have wanted to lose weight in a short space of time but they are being monitored. They have lost weight but with a lot of these programmes you never see what happens months down the line, ie have they put it all back on etc.. Like other people have mentioned on here 1 - 2IB a week is the safest weigh to lose. Good luck
Hi. I think it depends how much you have to lose. I have lost weight that fast and I am definitely safe but a lot of people don't and that is fine too. I follow a paleo diet so no bread, pasta, rice, flour, potatoes. Also no dairy although I do have a bit because I like to keep my calcium levels up. I eat lots of fish, eggs, lean meat with piles of different veg. I was 23 stone, now 18 stone 11. I don't know how long weight will continue to come off at that rate but I don't have cheat days or even treat meals apart from a few days for Christmas. Weight piled back on then. Currently i lose about 3 lb a week. I don't calorie count all but I probably have 1500 a day which I agree is probably a bit less than calorie checker would say for my size but I am not hungry so it does for me. Good luck.
