4 days in....and its the weekend
your weekends were like mine were. You can still have a little of both, but I just tend to not bother as I have no will power.
I plan a couple of really low calorie meals, tonight it will be a home made paella and tomorrow night I am doing a stir fry but using the spiraliser for noodles instead of traditional noodles.
Instead of having the usual wine or lager I swap it for Gin and slim line tonic.
I am 3 weeks in and I have lost half a stone.
We usually socialise at the weekends, so its hard isnt it. I usually try to have normal breaksfast and lunch, dinner is often rather out of my hands, but i focus on veg. Also try to factor in extra exersice like a family walk etc, to mitigate. if i am going to eat at someones house or stay over i take things like watermelon to share.
good luck!!
I too used to dread the weekends and it still feels like the hardest part! But (for me!) planning is the key ... I use MyFitnessPal and log all my weekend food in advance, that way I know my portion sizes and what leeway I have for any other food that might crop up! Then it is my choice what to do and if there's any wriggle room with the calories. I have found it really empowering to make decisions rather than try and cope with going over after the event!
You can do it 🌼
I always have something a bit special for dinner at the start of a weekend so that I feel I'm having a treat , usually something like home made curry , home made pizza , basically something that I wouldn't go to the effort of making on a work night . I often do my longer run on the first morning of my weekend ( I work shifts and my weekends change ) and make sure I either have sausage sandwiches ( lower fat sausage ) bacon butties ( I really like turkey " bacon " ) or scrambled egg and smoked salmon after , again a bit more special than mid week . I like the weekend feeling it gives me
Thanks, i survived the weekend , i did it by challenging myself to a hill walk before going out on Saturday night when i managed to drink vodka tonic instead of my beloved red wine.....worked though
