Why eat something you wouldn't normally eat?

in reply to

If you normally eat unhealthy food, would you not change to something else you don't normally eat?

in reply to

Well es of course. But I do eat healthily, I eat a varied diet. I would need a heck of a lot of persuasion to eat coconut oil! Sounds yuck 😛

Good point, But maybe some others can use it, you can get it without the coconut taste if you like, maybe someone will find it useful. :)

It's actually quite nice in cooking :-) curry's, popcorn, roasted veg etc, but some how I'm still over weight lol xxxx

Yes it is nice in things, maybe your cooking is so good that you have to eat lots of it 😀

Interesting, we were recently discussing the peanut butter diet, and this seems like a similar idea - essentially it's all about increasing consumption of healthy fats.

A lot of nutritionists advocate adding a tablespoon of coconut oil to coffee as a way to build it in (as long as you don't drink lots of coffee).

Personally I use coconut oil for cooking, but I'm not sure I want to start eating it straight from the jar! There are so many tidbits like this on the internet as well, it's hard to know which ones to believe.
