For anyone who's interested, currently, on C4, there's a programme examining recent trends and scientific advances in weight loss, ranging from whether fat can make you thin, should breakfast be skipped, etc.
Food Unwrapped: Diet Special - Weight Loss Support
Food Unwrapped: Diet Special

Yes; watching it. It's taken them a while to get to the 'eat less sugar' message! Eventually though.
Watching it now...
Programme is great, sugar is the enemy!

Let's see if the Department of Health are going to revise their guidelines.
Watching this on record. Only half way through. Feel so frustrated and overwhelmed! Interesting as it is it just makes me question everything I know and if I've been doing everything wrong.
After two years of SW I've gotten used to low fat, fat free, high carbohydrate diet with low dairy amounts. I decided to just eat a wider variety of foods in moderation, making sure to count calories and this was working for me until just before Christmas.
But now this programme is all about having fat fat fat. I can't bring myself to have butter or full fat yoghurt and milk and letting myself eat cheese all the time.
Am I damaging myself by having low fat foods instead? Ahhh there's such conflicting information!
I'm following a low carb diet now and is based on ' harcombe diet' and the meals shown is what i basically eat now and I'm not afraid to eat fat... it has really changed how I cook food now... I use butter, lard, dripping , cream, cheese all stuff i always thought was bad.. but as long as I don't mix carbs with fats & protein I lose weight !
It's a bit like the old slimming world 'red days' but you can add fat !
and don't eat sugar !!
