Weight controlling

I control my weight through sleep time. It also necessary to don't drink water after having meal. Day time sleep and even lying down on bed also increase weight. Frequent eating meal can increase weight, one meal once a day is also beneficial, but to adjust to biological clock it takes some time..

Hi and good evening. Are you trying to lose weight DrPankaj09 or just keep the weight off? Its always a good idea to drink a glass of water before a meal.

Have a nice weekend. :)

drink water before a meal?????? i never drink water at any time, and even after, or during, a meal i would be bloated and not finish the food. this idea does not work for me! i dont have that trouble with beer!! But, maybe once a wk i would do that.

have cut drasticly on beer anyway (5-6/wk to 1-2) and NO, it hasn't improved my weight loss. so that isn't the answer.

i can go all day without a drink (born out of a prostate problem 30yrs ago) so this, for me, is not an issue.

drinking water with food may dilute the stomach acids, and therefore digestion may suffer. saliva in the mouth acts as enzyme to break down the food in the stomach. replacing this with water will not work. chew food more thoroughly.

hope this helps.

I find it really interesting that you have this opinion. How can your body lose weight if it doesn't have enough water? Your body needs water to function the same way it needs oxygen. It cannot lose weight efficiently without enough water.

The whole point of drinking water before a meal is to AID digestion as it also helps to break down the food, supporting the stomach acid digestion process. It does not "dilute it" in anyway as far as I know. And it is meant to help you feel fuller before eating so that you don't have to eat everything on your plate if you don't need it - avoiding over eating and naturally reducing calories.

NOT drinking enough water could be the reason you are not losing weight as it keeps your body healthy and it boosts your metabolism. it would also mean you're eating in response to thirst-hunger, as you can get the need for water and the need for food confused, leading to excess snacking when all you needed was a glass of water. This is why water is always suggested as one of the best healthy habits to take up.

Sorry to give you a bit of a lecture, but I think it's so important for weight loss to indulge in lots of water throughout the day. :) even if you don't necessarily feel like you "need" it.

Usually Luke warm water is beneficial before meal, by doing this I just keep the weight off.

i did not think of your reply as a lecture. my point was that i can manage without and that works for 'me', and dont necessarily advocate this for others! i do not snack or otherwise to make up for liquid loss. also, most of the people i know that drink loads of water, cant seem to go very long without a drink, and are gagging if they cant get
