This is Benson earlier today letting Izzy out you can just see her sat waiting for him to open the door.

No door is safe at home unless it's a locked one. 😶 and yes he opens the door with his paw on the handle.🐾

I have a German Shepherd who does exactly the same. Thankfully, for all her intelligence, in her ten years, she's not yet discovered how to open the fridge.

Oh I had a doberman that did that and he helped himself to half a dozen eggs and a lb of bacon. 😀

Our dogs to be escape artists or vandals. Had both one would go so far as when I was cooking try and escape the sliding glass door then return to the kitchen and steal the food I was cooking of the counter or stove. Have to love them with all your soul or we would go batty!
