It's time I allocate some time to sorting out my weight and health. Over the years I have used the excuse I've no time to exercise and binge eat for comfort.

Hi Thomk,

I agree with Hidden - the NHS 12 week plan is an excellent place to start, and especially if you sign up for the E-mail support, that makes it even easier to follow. Maybe read our Welcome Newbie post too - it's in the Pinned posts area (top right-hand side of the homepage - or towards the bottom of your screen if you're accessing via a mobile device).

Please do join in with any of the Challenges you like the look of. I know you mentioned that you don't have a lot of time to exercise, but there can be small things you can do that can fit into making each day that bit more active - and it all adds up.

Try not to think of exercise as something you 'do' but just increase your overall activity, deliberately parking further away, taking the stairs, dancing on the spot whilst the kettle boils, etc . 😊 I have an activity tracker and deliberately go upon down stairs in the adverts whilst watching tv if I haven't done enough steps 😊

But with regards to weight loss it's more about creating a calorie deficit than exercise. 😊 Have a look at the 12 week plan and see what you think.😊
