Hi Lilybell I just started my weight loss journey last Monday first weigh in tomorrow I like a glass of wine so I have been using part of my 1400 calories to have a small glass or two! Tomorrow's weigh in will tell if I have to give it up! Watch this space

It might be fluid as I've read alcohol retains unwanted fluids. it will fall away next week. I'm going to give up my drop as I snack with wine no matter what good intentions I start with.

By all means reduce consumption, but don't deprive yourself. By eliminating food and drink that you enjoy, you're less likely to stick to your intended goal.

Management of weight loss and its maintenance thereafter, doesn't mean that a life of restriction needs to be endured.

Provided its calorie content is considered in your overall daily allowance, a couple of glasses on a Saturday evening, for example, isn't going to upset the balance.

Hi

I have substituted my wine with sparkling water, however, to fool myself I have it in a wine glass - seems to be doing the trick :)

I have had the odd glass with my tea on a Saturday night, as I enjoy it - but making sure I count that in my calorie intake for the day :)

good luck on your journey
