The new me!!

Ok so I've managed to lose 3 1/2 stone yippee, going from a size 16 to a size 10!!! (Still a few pounds to go to get to my goal but so close now) The problem now is I'm so used to wearing big baggy clothes I'm struggling to wear anything that fits properly, In my head I'm still that size 16 😞 I do suffer with my confidence quite bad but don't want to look like a sack of spuds, a lot of things are easier said than done.

Brilliant. And it's such a boost to the confidence when you buy smaller size clothes that give you a silhouette.

Hi and very well done to you.βοΈπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Have you thought about having a personal shopper point out a few things for you as they have a good eye for styles etc.

Someone I know had this given to her as a gift from her hubby (lucky lady) with a Β£300 allowance for clothes for her birthday and she loved it, said they had shown her what suited her shape, things she would never have picked out for herself.

Hi Emz78,

Wow, that's fantastic to hear you've lost 3 and a half stones - wow! Size 16 to Size 10 - incredible! :-) Fantastic to hear you're getting so close to your goal weight - you are doing brilliantly! Let either myself or @Moreless know if you'd like to claim a weight loss badge - you could have a 3 stone Badge? I know it doesn't acknowledge the extra half stone you've lost, but if you'd feel motivated by having a badge, then please don't hesitate to ask us for one.

Maybe it's time to buy something lovely to wear that fits you perfectly?

Have a wonderful weekend.

Lowcal :-)

Wowser, well done you, how fantastic! I'd rock up at a department store, find a sensible looking staff person and say "help"!!!! You can take in as many clothes as you like, and tell them you need a clothing make over. What fun! You don't have to buy anything either.

Well done! How did you manage the last stone? I'm finding this last bit desperately hard.

On your question; the other weekend I went to a various clothes shops and tried on clothes; I told the assistants I'd lost a pile of weight and needed to re-think my image/confidence etc; they totally got on board and brought me stuff to try! There's a jumpsuit I am waiting to go on sale! I tried on whacking big high heels (I don't think I'll be buying those!) and very no (VERY!) expensive black leather jackets; oh and some black leather trousers (won't be buying those either but I took a photo in the changing room because I looked pretty good! (Though I say it myself).

If you're a size 10 you definitely need to try some more fitted clothes; maybe just get a couple of things and don't go really tight at first. Wear them and see how you feel. Go for it!! You're fabulous! (You always were!)

That is fantastic, well done. You were where I am! Can I ask you some questions? where did you get your recipes from? Did you just count calories? I am not sure where to start.....

Thank you

Alison

I wasn't sure to start with. I cut out chocolate crisps cake anything rubbish really. Had fruit and natural yogurt for a sweet hit. Then I started counting calories with my fitness pal and using recipes from Joe wickes lean in 15. I'm no expert by any means but hope this helps. Good luck :)

Just try on all sorts , as others have said. Or just buy and take home to try ( as long as can return it) if you feel shy about asking an assistant's opinion .... for instance Im in my sixties and probably wouldnt ask a 20 yr old in H&M but I would ask a 30-50 year old in Phase Eight ) or my daughter is mostly honest with me she is 30 although even she is not keen if my skirt is above knee , although my partner loves it πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Congratulations on your fantastic achievement - size 10 ..... sounds like heaven.

It does take a little time to adjust to a new body shape; when I wear shapeless clothes nowadays my hubbie says "are you wearing your clown trousers again?" or such like and it reminds me that I can wear nicely fitted clothes now. Interestingly enough, I have lost 3 1/2 stone too and I am exactly where you started off, but the difference is I am delighted to be at this weight ! It's a funny old world.

I absolutely guarantee you will look fantastic in whatever you choose to wear now so be loud and proud. Show your beautiful new figure off and wait for the compliments to come pouring in.

Well done and good luck reaching your goal. x
