Living in hope
Hi Jackie33, Ive just joined hoping for the same outcome as yourself. Im not navigating the site too well yet.
Hi jrogs
I'd like to welcome you to this forum too. Please see my reply to Jackie33 below, it's relevant to you too.
If either of you would like some help navigating the site, please ask, everyone is so friendly on here, we all want everyone to get the most out of this forum. Is there anything I can help with?
Good luck with your weight loss journey to good health π

Thanks mouse for the welcome and the info. I hope i wont be a bother to you all cause I will probably be calling out for help until i get the hang of the site.
Jrogs
You won't be any bother, call out for help whenever you need π
No-one comes on here knowing exactly how to do things, we all had to learn and ask for help when we needed it.
If you have a question, just write a post and someone will answer, and no question is silly. Please don't stay silent or struggle unnecessarily. Everyone on here is so helpful, we're all on the same journey together. π

I'm having a bit of trouble as well π
Hi Jackie33
Welcome to the forum. It's a very friendly, encouraging and helpful site, where we are all on the same journey to health.
If you haven't already, please read the Welcome Newbies post. It's in the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen, (bottom if you're on a mobile). It has a link to the NHS 12 week plan, which is a great place to start. It doesn't give a specific diet plan, but gives guidelines for healthy eating.
You may also like to check out how many calories you should have each day using the BMI checker.
Perhaps consider joining in our challenges, they're fun to do and help with motivation.
We also have a Monday group weigh-in posted by two of the Fab5'ers, Lowcal and moreless. To give you some idea of what this is about, you can have a look at the latest thread in the events section, to the right of the home page. The weigh in is entirely voluntary, but I find it helps keep me accountable.
Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration. π
Good luck π

Hi Mouse thank you for your help. I feel a bit silly asking but do we just weigh in on our own scales .π
That's absolutely correct Jackie
Don't feel silly, it was a perfectly valid question!
As lovely moreless says, on your own scales, some folk weigh themselves in Boots chemist, as long as you use the same ones, at about the same time every week, then you will get a true reading of your loss (and occasionally a gain as we're all human and sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions) π
I hope you choose to join our Monday weigh in - it's not too late this week, you can join anytime up until tea time Friday. If you do, please use the Monday afternoon thread as the morning one has closed.
Anything else we can help with, no question is too silly, please ask. We want everyone to get the most out of this forum and eat themselves healthy ππ

Thank you moreless for your help it's all very new for me π
Don't forget we have all been new once. I've not been here long, and everyone has made me feel welcome whatever I have said, and have gone out of their way to make me feel included. My advice for what it is worth is to read a few posts, comment on something, or ask s question if you have one, and before you know it, you will know more, feel a part of things, and be slimmer.
Hello, welcome and good luck in your journey πππ
