Well I feel like a biggest loser today. I've had this target in my sights for quite a while now. The thing is, as you get smaller and closer to your individual target weight, your weight loss slows and sometimes stalls but you just have to keep with it and not get demoralised. You have to go by other signals that you are still going in the right direction and I could feel that my clothes were getting bigger even though the scales told a different story. Well this morning I gingerly stood on those scales and up came....
199.8lbs. (14ST 3.8LBS) Yep, I'd got below the 200lb mark giving me a total weight loss of 152.8lbs (10st 12.8lbs) so I'm as chuffed as a chuffing train chuffing along a chuffing track choo choo............
Moral of this story, keep going no matter what. Don't let the scales spoil what is right and above all, stay motivated as YOU CAN DO IT..........
Onwards and hopefully downwards and I hope you all have a great week..
That's pretty incredible, Gary! I've just read some of your first posts and I am in awe at how someone can take control of their life as you did! Keep at it, you have done amazingly well and are a great inspiration!
Well done dadtoad, that's an incredible loss! You are so right - staying motivated when the scales say 'na' is soooo important. I agree with what you say about your clothes - they are a good measure of success
