Hi Fit4forty,

Welcome to the NHS weight loss forum. I'd recommend reading our Welcome Newbie post - see the Pinned Posts section (top right hand-side of the homepage) - you'll find it there. The NHS 12 week plan is excellent, and many of us are following that with some good results.

Maybe join our Monday group weigh-in (see Events section - below the Pinned posts) and the next session will be Monday morning, but if you do want to join us, just pop in at whatever time that day suits you best - the evening if you prefer, we're around all day and evening too on Mondays.

Wishing you a great weekend!

Good luck with your goals, and hopefully you'll be feeling more confident, and less nervous as time goes on.

Lowcal :-)

Hi Superslim,

Here is a link to last Monday's weigh-in post, so have a look at it, and then just look out for the next post, which I'll be posting at just before 6.30am on Monday 8th August. The link is always in the Events section (below the Pinned posts).

You can always click 'follow' and my name, and you'll be automatically notified of when I post it. I would also recommend following moreless as she will be posting the thread whilst I'm on holiday in mid August - so that way you won't miss any postings.

Great that you'll be joining us!

You will be fine just keep on a positive mind track and as a seasoned yo yo dieter I can vouch for the 12 week plan, my weight loss may be slower than some fad diets but it took me all my life to get where I was so it will take me a decent time to loose the weight too.

Keep a daily diary I find I put my emotions, feeling losses and phases that help motivate me in there.

I am also using the 2 jar motivator . I started with £63 in 1 jar and as I loose weight I transfer £1 for each 1lb lost this is my phase 1 to loose 41/2 stone when I have done it the £63 will buy me a treat or something to remember my journey.

Hope you manage to stay on track everyone here will help support you just post if you are struggling. 👍😊 Bev
