Get the Sugar Smart app. It is brilliant in supermarkets. It is surprising how much food which has added sugar. For example vacuum packed beetroot! I was shocked to find that the leading "low sugar" brands of Baked Beans contained more added sugar than most super markets cheapo brands costing less than half the price.

It certainly helps with better informed decisions.
