Yesterday morning I was pleased to see the scales drop back down to 12st 13lbs...but then had a horrendously busy day and the local girl who normally helps out wasn't able to come, so by 10.30pm, I was tired, irritable and really needing to either sleep or snack on little bits and pieces....still my response to stress and exhaustion it seems.
Eventually I sat and joined a group of our European guests who had been gaily discussing Brexit with my partner ...we had some lovely, very tall young Dutch speaking Belgians and also Swedish guests, all who spoke perfect English, and my chap was in his element stirring up a lively conversation whilst yours truly was cleaning up in the Kitchen! (What is it they say about never discussing politics, religion etc).
I unwound with only a tiny glass of Cointreau, but this morning, following my not so sensible evening's eating and drinking, my scales were back up to 13stones again!!! Oh well, today is another day, and I WILL get down below that number 13 by Monday!

Just stay with it over the weekend DD and you will get it😃 Sounds like a lively evening !!
Isn't it funny how significant some of our milestones become? I bet if it wasn't at the top of a stone, you wouldn't mind half so much about that wavering lb. I don't mind putting on weight or Staying The Same if I feel it is deserved. But yesterday at my weekly weigh in I had a STS whereas the chum I was sharing my food diary with lost 4lbs. I was a bit wild at the beginning of last week, but I pulled it all back to what I should have eaten overall, by cutting back on the last 3 days. That usually works for me, but didn't this time. It is because I wanted to lose 5lbs by next weekend, and I still have 2 to go. My metabolism is sitting personified somewhere saying: "Not this week! Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!"
I think I would sooner have been in the kitchen anyway rather than discussing Brexit. If I lived near you I would have happily popped along to help, my day yesterday was boring they are the worst as I love to keep busy.
With your positive mind DD you will loose those 2 lbs by Monday, leave your partner with a bit to do today and take the pooches for a lovely walk in that lovely countryside that surrounds you, evening if it's too hot this afternoon. 🌞👍🐕
Regarding my partner doing his hosting bit; he does do his share of physical labour so I can't really complain.
After all, if he wasn't with the guests after dinner, he wouldn't sell any drinks...got to make some money somewhere here! Sometimes we both join the guests, but then we end up having a lot to do around midnight to get things ready for the morning!
I hope to get out with the dogs later after sorting out the rooms. I shouldn't be sitting here at the computer but this is my lunchbreak and I need my dose of motivational reading!
It must be so busy every day this time of year I suppose you don't get that much time especially together, I imagine now it is the school holidays you will be busier than ever.
Hope you managed to enjoy your lunch and got your dose of motivational encouragement toady.
Not to worry! I think the heat makes a difference too, for instance it's jammed up my electronic scales, they just won't budge! 😉 I'm doing chores this morning, cleaning and making beds hopefully if I run up and downstairs a few times it will help kick start my metabolism. 2 or 3 more weeks and you will have a safety net to stay under those pesky 13's then a pound fluctuation won't have such an impact.
Great that you briefly saw the 12's - sorry to hear it bobbed back into the 13's again - the same has happened to me - but let's hope that we both get back into the 12's by Monday. I love your positivity - saying that you 'WILL" get below that number 13 by Monday - and I will join you in saying that I hope to join you there!
