Hi, I desperately need to get motivated with health eating. I started excercise 2weeks ago and am doing well with it but the healthy eating plan goes out of the window by lunch time. Any tips please?

First of all well done with the exercise, every step is hard, so don't forget to congratulate yourself!

A lot of the the time healthy eating ambitions evaporate because we've let ourselves get super hungry, so by the time meal time comes round we're starving, craving comfort foods and too impatient for healthy food nonsense. This could amount to too light a breakfast, or not enough fluids through your morning, often both. If we've not already got our lunch prepared then that totally compounds the problem of rushing to eat whatever.

Healthy living tends to be about preparation. Try ramping up the protein in your breakfast, a piece of fish, or an egg or two. Push the water during your morning, have a bottle of light cordial by your side. Have a health lunch ready by your side as soon as you're ready for it.

Thank you for your reply Faqhiavelli , yes it makes sense of my bad eating habits. I'll give it a go, I do need to be more organised and prepare lunch and snacks in advance, thank you.

I agree with this, not having enough to eat is the biggest reason for failed weight loss. There is a link via the Newbies thread to check your own personal BMR which will give you a target calorie range to aim for, often more than you think 😊

Exercise is also important as thus helps build muscle 😊
