Current weight 14st 7lbs. NHS tells me I am 5st 10lbs over healthy. I feel this is a bit to far down the scale for me. But I am going for at least 4st off. I need to be realistic, I am 59yrs. being unrealistic has just brought me heartache and failure.

I've deleted your duplicate post, and I'm just giving you the link again to the Monday group weigh-in, as I know this is where you are trying to post. If you click on this link and then put your weigh-in results in the 'reply' box, you will be in the right place! But if you continue to have difficulties, then I'll just copy and paste your results into the thread - but I'll see how you get on first:
I think you're right to doubt or question the NHS guideline, you know yourself better than they do and geez 4 stone would be a fantastic loss and make a massive difference. Get to that point and then if you want to you can reassess what you do next. I don't like where the BMI calculator tells me I need to get to as I know I can be a chunk over that weight and still be in good nick. Good luck with your program and take time on here as there is sooo much helpful info and support.
Thank You for your reply tintin. I so do not want to be doing this at 60plus. I have a big holiday coming up for my 60th, so don't want to be fat n all hot and bothered in my frumpy clothes. So I have 10 month to put a dint in this x
Having a goal really helps so you can do it just try and be single minded about it that's what I have done its boring but you can do it and ignore the folks that offer you the cakes and biscuits etc we don't need them even if we want them ❤ 😊
I am trying not to cut out anything......just make best choices I can and eat in moderation and treats but not daily. Lost count how many times ive cut this and that out only to crave it and then go mad.
I know what you mean, the BMI says I need to be 9 stone 11 but I haven't been that weight since I was in my teens and I don't think I started putting on weight until the last 1-3 years maybe so I don't trust the BMI. It seems to want you be be a very low weight.
I'm 10 stone 6 (after putting on a bit of weight on my holiday) and I'm hoping for a goal 10 stone and I'll be happy.
You're in good company here, everyone is very supportive.
I replied to your other post but in case you didn't see it I will reply here as well! Excellent advice above 😊 Just want to say you CAN do it, and you will improve your mobility and fitness 😊Good luck! 😊
