Hello, I'm new here: Have been trying to... - Weight Loss Support
Hello, I'm new here
Hi Eam2010,
Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum, and I hope you'll enjoy being part of this community. Our Pinned posts are useful, and there's a Welcome Newbie post there - see the top right-hand side of the homepage for all the Pinned posts.
We have a Monday group weigh-in session too, so if you like the idea of that, please do join us. The next session will be tomorrow - we keep going despite Bank Holidays!!! (Not sure if you have a Bank Holiday where you are - but the essential thing is the weigh-in is tomorrow!).
Wishing you success with your weight loss goals and hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Eam2010 and welcome to this very friendly forum 😀 of course you can achieve your weight loss goals if you put your mind to it. I'm not going to tell you it will be easy but it does get easier. I follow the nhs12wk plan and have found this forum really helpful. I have lost over 11/2stone in 13 wks. I use myfitnesspal to log calories, make healthier food choice (with occasional treats too) and move more. It takes time to change life long habits but if your motivated enough to want to change for life you've come to right place. Join in with the challenges on the forum and don't be afraid to post questions or just tell us about your journey including problems and triumphs there's always someone here. Good luck. Claire x
Hi Eam2010. You can do it! Sure its not going to be a walk in the park but if you really want to lose weight and get healthier then you have come to the right place. This forum is great for help and support. I think the saying 'nothing tastes as good as slim feels' is a good one and worth reminding yourself when you are tempted by naughty treats. I say to myself - am I going to enjoy this as much as knowing that if I don't eat it I might get on the scales next week and know that I have lost a little more weight. Bit by bit you will get there I am sure
I just joined, and I am feeling just like you. Wishing you all the best!!!
If you count the calories and do the exercise minutes on the plan you will certainly lose weight. Good luck.
