Lost the plot

After losing a stone in weight and putting it back on and more ,I seemed to have lost the plot. I seem to just want to eat sweet things, I used to go to the gym but I haven't got any enthusiasm.Although I've been to watch a 10k today and that has encouraged me to start running again.

Iv got that teeshirt, I can leave sweet things alone for months, but if I get a craving for something sweet and I give in, that's it I binge. I'm one of those people who is very good or I just totally loose it. I lost 8 pounds in about a month after Christmas . Then went totally of the rails and put on the 8 pounds and 2 more. I hate myself for being weak, so once again I am trying to be good. Good luck and keep clear of the sweet stuff and so will I 👍

Hi Carolanneflow,

Thanks for your reply and support. I am normally on this forum encouraging others but it's good to know I'm not the only one who's got the t shirt.

Hi gman1961,

I'm glad that your attending that 10k today has helped you to feel like you'd fancy re-starting your running, and I really hope that you'll be able to harness some of your previous enthusiasm again, so you can also make some in-roads back to tackling your weight too. You've clearly done really well previously, and it can be really disheartening when you re-gain weight. I have yo-yo'ed with weight too in the past, but I must say that the NHS 12 week plan has helped me maintain my weight loss this time round, and I am keen to keep it off and lose my final few pounds.

Can you remember what motivated your previously, and think about whether some of those things could help again now? Maybe read through some of the posts in our Pinned posts area, if you've not already done so, and see if any suggestions or tips from other members might be supportive and helpful.

Would you be interested in joining our Monday group weigh-ins, to get some group support? I realise it's not every person's cup of tea, but it can be really motivating.

I would just like to wish you all the best for this week, and hope you have a good week ahead.

All the best,

Lowcal :-)

Hi gman1961,

Here is a link to the Morning session of the Monday group weigh-in, to help you to find us. If you choose to join in the afternoon then there will be another link, but it is in the Events section of the homepage, or you can use the Morning link to find the Afternoon link (as I post it there as soon as the Afternoon post is done). Hope that makes sense!
