11.2km for me today. My phone died suddenly this afternoon taking with it a heap of stuff I hadn't yet backed up. So I took my anger out on a very fast walk in the rain, which weirdly did kind of help. Still no phone though...
Oh how weird is that, thinking of it today ! Must add psychic to my list of strange accomplishments (along with being able to do a really good impression of a rhesus monkey... )
You never know when you might be wandering through the jungle one day and suddenly need to 'blend in'
Of course, if I was wandering through the jungle with Bear Gyrlls I would be ok...(sigh) - perhaps he could be recruited on board ship to do some survival classes along with the other activities taking place !!
For me, 20035 steps or 15.31k, plus 14.58k covered on an indoor bike in the gym. I was doing intervals to mix it up (fast & slow sections) which confused FitBit so much, it registered the half hour as 'Outdoor Bike'!😄
Hi all, Tuesday = 4.7k for me, Ed had a night off and only did 14.5k - a mix of work and general steps and a long dog walk. I'll encourage him out to the gym today
Just read your earlier post, hope you're feeling better 😊
Bike falls hurt more than just your pride 😞
Look after yourself 😊
A couple of years ago I was late for work and flew down the hill on my bike, turned a corner too fast and clipped a road sign with my handle bars. I came off so quick I didn't know what was happening - right in front of a cue of waiting cars 😁
I got on my bike quickly and only checked my knees when I got to work, wasn't anything too bad but what did I get a fright 😱
I'm glad someone came to your help, so many people nowadays don't bother.
Your story sounds terrifying! I'm glad you didn't do yourself any serious damage!
I shall take it easy for a day, or two, then get back in the saddle, so to speak
I am so grateful to the young man for coming to my aid. In my shock and embarrassment, I probably didn't thank him anywhere near as much as I should have, but he was definitely a boy scout today
Well, slower day for me as back playing up yesterday. Only 3,213 steps. Looking forward to tomorrow and the Charleston!! 😃😃 will be slow again today as I rest my back and do minimum walking but will be up and dancing tomorrow night!!
Hi More less. Yes my back is still bad. It got worse over the week but I have still been to work except for Thursday when I gave in and stayed in bed mostly (it was my day off after working a couple of nights) I did 3,200 on Tuesday, about 3,200 on Wednesday, about 700 on Thursday and approx 2,000 on Friday when I was back in work . I'm still in chronic pain which will probably last another few days. I will post as and when I can until then. Sorry.😥😥
I'm sorry to hear that you're back's still bad Sopmarfree
Thanks for the updates. Don't worry if you can't clock up any steps, but we appreciate being kept in the loop, because we don't want you to be one of the disappearing travellers
I'm not going to disappear but I do have to move to stop my back from seizing up so will send you those steps. I'm now off work on doctors orders for a couple of days to try to get it under control. Steps for Saturday are 1,234. Sunday will be a lot less. 😭😭
Thank you moreless. I think this is going to take longer than I anticipated. I have to go for a MRI as the Gp thinks a disc may have prolapsed. Not what I wanted to hear. I will keep counting my few steps so that I still feel connected and so that I am still aiming to rejoinder the trip. Yesterday was 67 steps. 👣🚼baby steps!! But I'm not giving up.
Please put me down for about 50 steps for each day that I haven't already logged. Have ended up spending 5 days in bed but was able to get up for about an hour yesterday so hopefully I am on the mend. Send my regards to everyone on the trip and I will catch up when I can.😊
3.2 Km for me yesterday. The rain combined with a cold/fever (never ending nightmare) stopped me from walking the dog yesterday. Still not feeling well so not sure he will get a walk today either
