I think you all have truly deserved relaxing on the steamer today especially Moreless's altercation with her bike and the verge and her helmet π³π³
Tonight you will be having Charleston lessons on the dance floor- outfits provided. Gregory Porter is back and will be singing all night long to guide us with our Charleston dancing and make sure we have lots of fun. Beer hose pipes and ice cold presecco all night!
Mr Fizzy and I spent today in Preston at the adoption matching panel for a little girl. It was an unanimous big fat YES ππππ Will have introductions on 25 February ππππ
Happy Travels everyone πππ

Hi having fun and games with my pedometer today and finally lost it whilst walking! Oh well it was cheap and rubbish so now using app on phone for the time being. I think I had managed over 10, 000 steps today.
Wow FizzyLizzy - how amazing the you have kept this thread going----and you have all that on your (happy) plate. Salute of full respect to you and Mr Fizz.
I hope that you find a lovely daughter and that you will be a happy , healthy and prosperous family. Amazing too, to make a good life for an otherwise unloved ( presumably) child.
And yet you can still be bothered with this.
The sun shone for the first time in weeks up here in Edinburgh, and no rain!
Forget the gym, went for a run along the shore, looking out over the Firth of Forth up to sunny Fife, lovely!
Managed 6.3 km (done it before on bike so know the distance) .Pilates class inspiring but no steps there!
Evening Everyone my kms are 6.32 for 10th Feb. Im really looking forward to the dance lessons and the great music. Congratulations on your good adoption news FizzyLiz. Have a fun evening Everyone.
Many Congratulations on your great news - that is fantastic!!!! You must be over the moon.
Hi Moreless,
Hope you're feeling better after your fall, and that you are nursing your bruises well. Take it easy and relax and recuperate - glad we were in the 'Steamer' today to enjoy those massages etc.
Thanks for the good wishes Lowcal, everything's calming down nicely. It's a good job I don't wear mini skirts, because the knees are a sight to behold!
What great news a little bit of fizz for the little fizz! πΎ can we have Bellinis this evening from the bar please, 20k from me insanity, speed training and, a run round the estate to get my 25,000 steps in over estimated the estate leg this week so managed my 20k without having to trot round the house!π
A relaxing day on the steamer with 12.2 k to report. Was thinking of getting my bike out soon, but after Moreless' experience I think I'll wait. Sounds very painful - hope she's OK. Bet she won't be able to walk tomorrow - bruised and stiff. So we'll have to organize a committee to massage her and ply her with pain killers and just generally keep her entertained.
As for Mini Fizzy that is fantastic - really exciting. One of the most special things that can ever happen to you!
It's a whirlwind once the introductions take place; I remember from my own experience it was an exciting time and nerve racking too. It made it very special when our two children chose us too; enjoy every moment π
Today managed 5.9km.
I'm sure Mr Porter will happily dedicate a song to all the wonderful forever families.
It happens so quickly and that feeling of helplessness is horrible. I was thinking about the difference between adults and children. Children are expected to fall and skin their knees, but as adults, we are expected to remain upright
What fantastic news Lizzy, I'm delighted to hear your wonderful news. No doubt you and Mr Fizzy are thrilled and can't wait to bring your new little girl home and start your family life together. To find the time to keep this thread going with all of this going on is amazing, thank you so much for your efforts you really are a super star.
My total km for today 11.17 km, I reached my goal and made a bit of extra effort to make up for moreless while she recovers from her little accident. On a more serious note moreless, I hope you're not too badly injured.
Mrsg, you're a star!! How fantastic of you, I'm touched and thrilled that you've smashed your goal of 7K's right out of the park!! Three cheers for you!
I'm loving your new profile picture but hope it isn't accurate, how are you feeling this morning not too battered and bruised I hope.
I'm delighted to have helped out with the extra km's, it seemed such a shame not to take advantage of the dry weather after my complaints about the miserable wet stuff. My legs are a little stiff today but I'm going to keep my 7 km target in place as a little challenge to myself.
Hi all, Lizzy, brilliant news about the adoption!!! Moreless, I must have missed the original post but gathering you had a bike related accident?? Hope you are ok and still intact π€
Two dry bright days in a row. I'm sure we're going to pay for this! It helped with the walking. I managed to clock up 15630 steps, 10.7kms. I had 2 hours gardening in between dogs walks but I don't think the pedometer counts that!
Never mind, hit my 10k target.
Off now for a cold prosecco and a bit of Charleston watchingπ€πΎ
I was thinking today about how many people must think of you while they're out and about clocking up kms, and wondering if you could feel those good vibes coming through the ether. Then now we have the news that the adoption process has passed another hurdle for you - it seems the vibes are working ! Yay
And here's 6.93k - of cycling - a small offering, but hopefully of some help
congratulations to you both liz what fantastic news π
Moreless im hoping you have a speedy recovery!
For me unfortunately ive been hit by this cold/bug thing thats going around so was ordered by OH to take it easy which i must say is very difficult with a 2 and 4 year old running around so my figures are a poorly 2.74km walking. Feeling a wee bit better today so hoping to put in a bit more today.
Thanks so much for your good wishes kars, I'm almost back to new now
I'm so sorry to hear that you've picked up that hateful virus though, poor you I hope it doesn't take too much of a hold on you and that you feel much better, very soon
Hi all, still poorly!!! On steroids now to try to help ease my breathing - not really happy but desperation calls :/ - 4.5k pottering for me. Ed did 33.8k - 26.5 spin and 7.3 steps
Going to read about your accident now moreless! Hope you're not too sore today? X
Was this the one you thought had disappeared? You can find it by clicking on your own profile and then clicking on 'replies' and then you can hopefully find it like that - that was the method I used to find it.
That's strange - I realise it was Wednesday now I've looked at it, you only seemed to write one comment in yesterday's thread - which was wishing someone a good weekend. Not sure what happened therefore to your other update! It's a mystery!
Oh my goodness Lizzie, what a totally momentous day for you and Mr Fizzy. Well done, how fantastic you definitely deserve a bit of Fizzz and a relaxing day today 5.8km yesterday from me towards our totals...
17279 steps or 12.66k yesterday, and 11.79k cycling. Total: 24.45k.
moreless hope you are OK, I haven't decked it yet off the bike (apart from a "wobble" on Sunday) but I'm dreading the day I finally fall off - and it will happen! Let's hope the knees recover soon
I knew the day would come too Lexi, I was just hoping it would be later, rather than sooner! All of me is recovering nicely thanks and I have some very impressive bruises!
Hi. 10232 steps for Wed. Great news Liz, I had friends who went through the adoption process, so I know how tough it can be. Hope you are OK moreless. After not riding for several years, I did a group ride and came to a stop in the middle of a deep muddy puddle. Then did a comedy tilt over completely sideways. Got covered in sticky mud down one side. Kept going and after 35 miles the mud had dried until it cracked whenever I moved! Hope your fall didn't put you off.
Wow, what a trooper to keep going after such a tumble Mrscaw - I was a complete wreck! 35 miles??!! I don't think I shall ever manage distances like that. 5 is my limit! It hasn't put me off though, it's become a do, or die mission!
Thanks for your concern, I'm feeling heaps better now
