Dear Travellers

So thrilled that you all managed to clock up some steps yesterday in spite of the awful weather. Well except for Lucca who was last seen discussing the Californian grape varieties with Ricky!!

I was at 40th birthday party last night and danced and danced and danced. Clocked up 9.6kms - woohoo!

Today we are on the island of Sakhalin enjoying the nature at its finest. Lots of hiking, seal watching and scuba diving.

Happy Travels everyone πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

Hi Lizzy,

Wow, that picture of Sakhalin is really beautiful. I'm definitely looking forward to our stay there, all that hiking, seal watching and scuba diving. An active day for all. Will pop back later with my kms. :-)

Lowcal :-)

Oh thanks for rubbing it in that we're left behind in the atrocious British weather! ;)

Have a fab time and tell us all about it when you get back :)

Hi Lizzy, Moreless & Everyone,

I have done 4km on the rowing machine today and also 2.5km walking, so that makes a total of 6.5kms for today.

Lowcal :-)

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Zest

You are so clever to be able to do 4K's on the rowing machine Lowcal. I wish I could! ;)

Hidden
Hidden in reply to moreless

Stick with it moreless - you'll get there :-)

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Hidden

I'm only up to 45 strokes at a time - it's a number too small to record. It's a total of about 1/2K/day! :D I shall keep adding to it slowly, maybe one day I'll manage to row all the way across the room! :D

Hidden
Hidden in reply to moreless

Oh no - you're not suffering with the floods again are you :-P

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Hidden

Not yet, but I shall be prepared if we do...........except the rowing machine has a big gap in the bottom and weighs almost as much as me! :o :D

You should rename it 'Titanic' :-)

My kms for today 7th Feb are 2.01. Hope everyone is enjoying their visit to the island of Sakhalin.

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Marianne0915

Well done Marianne :)

Sakhalin is just what the doctor ordered :)

Yes it is and the company is splendid.

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Marianne0915

Oh it certainly is! :)

moreless
morelessAdministrator

Woohoo Liz! That must have been some party! It sounds as if you had a fantastic time. I hope you remembered to be cautious with the calorie consumption, don't forget it's weigh-in monday tomorrow and you don't want Lowcal on your case! ;)

Oh, I'm loving the look and sound of Sakhalin, it definitely sounds my cup of tea. What a clever old stick you are finding it for us :)

What a day today has been, weatherwise. I dragged my OH and grandson on a walk with gale force winds, rain, hail, sleet and snow! What a fantastic supporters club they are for me! :)

My totals today are:

Walking - 14.26

Cycling - 3.24

Total - 17.5K's :)

Zest
ZestHealthy SBMI in reply to moreless

Hi Moreless,

That's a fantastic number of kms - you should add in the 0.5 km you've done on the rowing machine though! It all counts! :-)

Lowcal :-)

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Zest

I'm actually cheating a little bit Lowcal, I'm saving up all the 1/2K's to make round numbers next week :)

I hope that confession doesn't get me walking the plank! :o

Ok - kms for today. After our disastrous day yesterday when we were ultra lazy, we have attempted to redeem ourselves today :-)

Mr L - 6.2k run + 3.7k dog walk = 9.9k

Me - 10.3k run + 9.7k dog walks = 20k :-) :-)

I donned my waterproof trousers and went for a 6k walk just in order to get my totals up this afternoon ! Hope you all realise the dedication I have to the cause and they'll be less of this sarcasm directed towards me in future ;-) :-D

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Hidden

Is that it??!! After the big up earlier, I was expecting something good from the pair of you, not mediocrity........................... :D :D :D

You know you thrive on the sarcasm really :D

Hidden
Hidden in reply to moreless

Ha Ha ! At least we are making our totals up on two legs - none of this namby pamby pedal assisted stuff ;-)

Anyway, judging by the smell of deep heat emanating from Mr L's direction I think he feels the 6.2k was a run too far at the moment with his bad leg !! :-D

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Hidden

Don't forget the even nambier pambier oar assisted stuff! :D

I've heard of man flu, but I think man tendonitis is just pushing it! ;) :D

Hi all,

Saturday's kms for me = 4.77

Won't put up today's just yet as I am hoping I will be able to get out for a couch to 5k run later.

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to lynalla

Ooh, that sounds promising lynalla :)

lynalla
lynalla in reply to moreless

Don't know, it's chucking it down out there at the mo, so doubt I will get out for my run tonight πŸ˜” Suspect it will be a similar level to yesterday.

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to lynalla

This weather's playing havoc with out trip! ;)

7:2km :)

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Cazmaz06

Great stuff Cazmaz :)

Nice work with the dancing - the funnest exercise ever!

No dancing for me, I am flagging a little after such a busy week, so I just went to the gym. Managed a good 19.30kms.

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to LessToLose

Woohoo LtL! No wonder you're flagging! :)

2.9 km today, mostly in snow so I'm sure it should count as more πŸ˜€

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Britdiane

But sooooo much more fun! :)

6.25 km for me today. I walked / ran in the park and than when I came home I remembered the steps so I hope it is accurate but tomorrow I will try to behave.

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to bakersdozen

I'll believe that when I see it bd ;)

bakersdozen
bakersdozen in reply to moreless

Morless you don't believe me! :( :) I came home so on high as I never went to the park for an hour and ....

I guess I will have to prove it to you! :)

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to bakersdozen

I believe the running and the walking bd, I just can't believe you're going to behave! :D :D :D

bakersdozen
bakersdozen in reply to moreless

I knew exactly what you meant. :d

Only 1.5 km today confined to sick bay so only pottering πŸ˜•

Mr F clocked up 8 kms doing dog walk if needed πŸ€”

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to flossie358

Poor you Flossie, but you're doing exactly the right thing by letting Mr F take over for a bit.

I'm sure Liz will be more than happy to add Mr F to the spreadsheet :)

Thank you very much Mr F, you're a star! :)

1 km only today. Still wiped out from being ill last week

5245 steps today, woke up to a day off, lovely sunshine, and ANOTHER flippin cold, tight chest sore throat runny nose etc. Only just got over the last one !! Good job there's plenty of travellers so you're not relying on me for many ks. I've signed up for a mindfullness course starts tomorrow. Thought if this is going to be a repeat of last years back to back infections from Christmas to Easter and I'm going to be curled under a blanket, I'd like to do something constructive - well it's more productive than iPad jigsaws lol β˜€οΈπŸ€’

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Fran182716

Oh no Fran! :( Are you working with lots of bug infested people?

Have fun at your mindfulness class tomorrow, it sounds really interesting.

Your K's are absolutely fine too :)

Fran182716
Fran182716Restart August 2020 in reply to moreless

Thanks Moreless. Last year I was diagnosed with an immune deficiency, thankfully the least serious type, but it explains why I pick up so many bugs. I work in an NHS community team, and at the moment all the patients and the staff are poorly! β˜€οΈ

moreless
morelessAdministrator in reply to Fran182716

The time in my life when I was my most ill, was when I was working in a hospital!

Fingers crossed that you don't just keep passing the bugs back and fore and that you're on the mend pronto :)
