So really stupid question-
Tins of chopped tomatos- are they full of added sugar?!

Not usually. If they do, it must be stated in the ingredients. Even the Morrisons cheapo ones that I use are free from added sugar.
I've just been watching the sugar free farm thing- and I have over the last 12 weeks massively reduced my sugar intake but I use tinned tomatoes most days in cooking and just had a horrible thought that maybe the food which I was making wasn't that healthy after all?!
It's all such a minefield!
Tinned tomatoes have a bigger percentage of lycopene too so are very good for you. As I've always said before, low carb high fat is fine for some but those with certain medical conditions should always consult their doctor first. I have gallstones and a hiatus hernia and I know if I eat something high fat that it can upset me to although I do sometimes have high fat food I have to make sure I have my Immodium instants with me because of the effect it has on me
I am finding the low carbs (not below 100g a day) suits me and I eat low/med fat. Everyone watching their sugar intake should also be aware that sugar is a carb so the "of which sugar" count on labels is already included in the overall carb count and this is what diabetics should be taking into account.
