Weighing day

Hi all - only lost a pound this week, so a bit disappointed, but I suppose going the right way. Did have a bit of a lapse clearing up some Christmas shortbread - so only have myself to blame.

A pound is a pound! Don't be disappointed, it takes 3'500 calories to create a pound of fat, so your defo heading in the right direction. Well done you! X

Hey any loss is good. One thing I have learnt you cant loose weight as quickly as you would like.

The main thing is too eat more healthily.

You are doing well- keep at it

Even a half is worth having. Or in some circumstances, if we just weigh the same as last week we're getting away with it, given the unplanned extras we've had! I would guess you're near the beginning of your weight loss journey, if you think a lb is bad. Or else you are very good at this usually. Go the the fridge at home or the supermarket and get 2 packs of butter. That is a lb. Now imagine that spread over your tummy. Now do you understand how well you've done? A whole 2 packs of butter gone. Give yourself a break and celebrate every loss no matter how tiny it seems to you. It is all a step in the right direction. As someone within 10lbs of goal, I would love to lose a lb this week. And that is after nearly 5st of losses.

That's such a supportive post - thank you, yes I have only been counting calories for four weeks. Your description of the butter is something I hadn't thought of. You have done wonderfully well to lose 5st, and I'm sure due to your resolve. Good luck with the last 10 lbs.

Thanks Suesec. Before you imagine I have got it all sorted. Those 10lbs are what I put on since getting to goal. But after 4 years of non stop dieting, I just needed a little break! Still it wasn't the way I was aiming to go!
