Hi debi65, the first thing I would advise you is to just go for it in your first week and exercise at least 30 everyday. Follow the 1st week of the nhs 12 week to the letter and you should see some great results on the scale to get you off to a really good start. Even if it is just a brisk walk get out there and do it. The first week is usually always the week you see your biggest loss if you stick to it.
Good luck
Well done I will give it ago just got give myself a kick up the bum 😊
Well done definitely give it ago ☺
Thanks for that 😊
Thanx for your reply tranle21. i will definitely have a look into it. I am also targeting to lose 2 stones.
Hi Debi - well done for checking in. I started on here in late Sept with 2 stone to lose - now I'm down 1stone and 3 lbs and feeling a lot better about my body, life and wardrobe (ie it fits again!). I'm now aiming to lose another 11lbs and may celebrate with a new swimming cossie for hols! Fingers crossed.
Do check out Moreless's link above - we've just all done a collective brain storm of the things that we've found helpful to get us as far as we've got - most of us aren't "there" yet, but happily we have some maintainers in our midst who are dealing with the challenges of holding steady.
I would strongly suggest you make use of this forum, it's great, everyone is friendly and there is usually someone awake and responding to messages!! It's really motivating to read other people's contributions and to add your own voice at times too.
Good luck!!!
Hi and welcome.
- Set yourself small manageable goals e.g. lose 3 lbs by Jan 31st. Thinking about the whole amount to lose is too much - small bites is best
- Decide on some exercise even if all you can manage is 10 minutes a day up and back on the street. Promise yourself you will do it every day and try to stick to it. You will feel amazing 30 short days
- I like the myfitnesspal app. Its really easy to use, you can log what you have eaten very simply and it can talk to other devices like fitbit, which I find useful.
=- move your focus to health things. Research exercise, foods, new recipes - keep thinking about your goals and being healthy and it will keep you motivated.
Good luck!
