Being a working mum of three, the thing I find really hard is keeping to my calorie count whilst still giving them what they want ie; pasta, rice etc.
Any ideas, other than smaller portions, please?

Hi mrshuh, I cook for children too and found that the most effective way of keeping close to my calorie allowance, is to measure the ingredients and only cook sufficient food for the meal. When it comes to dishing up, I give the children the amount they require and then have what's left. This minimses waste and saves me having to worry about portion sizes.
In the past, I used to cook enough food and then a little more, just in case ........ BIG MISTAKE!!
