When I first started I felt like I needed to find a buddy as well but seriously mate there are some amazing people here who are very regular and you will find that we all get invested in your journey and you can depend on us when you need us around.
Of course I am not saying you SHOULDN'T get a buddy - I started with someone but soon found that the group was just as motivating as a buddy

Hope you're well, how was your first week on the plan?
Mine was a bit up and down but I learnt alot about my behaviours and barriers to exercise / healthy eating. Such as don't come home as I won't go out again to the gym!
I used the weekly plan to watch my calories and wrote down what I ate and was surprised about my unplanned snacks. I also found I completely splurged and over ate when i went out with friends so I've gotta work on my discipline! I did try to cut down on the weekend to compensate but I find portion control difficult to get my head around mentally! As I still feel hungry!
I have gone to the gym twice and went to an exercise class once and did a workout DVD at home (for barely 20mins) I've also tried to walk more and take the stairs. I've mainly eaten more healthily and generally I'm A healthy eater but it's portion sizes I struggle with.
How has your week been?
Here are my weigh in results as agreed. When I started last week Monday I weighed 10st 6lb or 66kg. My target is to lose 2st.
Today's weigh in result: 10st or 63.5kg.
This seems like a good result but I'm not sure it can be right as I find it difficult to believe I would lose 6lbs in one week given that I've read 2lb per week is possible. Also my clothes are not fitting any better! So no evidence there!
Do you/others have any advice or thoughts? Maybe I misrecorded my original weight but it was my doctor who originally weighed me. Maybe it's water weight I've lost?

Hi been up and down this week looking to loss about a stone and a half. Gone over calories twice this week which I could kick my self for. Been running Times 10 k each time I go early morning ( May seem mad going at 5 am but it's done and out the way) seems a lot harder than the first time I done this when I weighed 18 st the weight just fell off at first. Just want to get to my proper weight

It's been a tough week for me too, I've exceeded my calories most days and haven't exercised apart from one Pilates session. You shouldn't be hard on yourself 10k at 5am is an achievement.
I've weighed myself today and I'm 10st 2 so ok from my starting weight 10st 6.

Well what can I say weigh in for week two 12 13 not lost a thing was doing ok till Sunday then my daughter's birthday kfc and cake not good. Had to be done she only 7 once found a new rice in asda made from cauliflower at 20% the calories will give it a go good luck this week Gareth
Hi my weight today is 10st 3 I am
Not happy with that at all!! It's very demoralising I went to the gym 4 times last week (mix of exercise class, gym and strength) and only exceeded my calories twice which I think is good because it was a 1200 calorie diet.
I'm so annoyed all that effort and I put on a lb??? Only things I am holding onto for hope are 1. I feel good within myself for the first time in ages 2. My jeans seem a fraction looser than normal 3. I've been using different weights over the past 4 weeks so lack of consistency.
Would really welcome any advice and encouragement.
