Looking back the week has not been too bad, food intake ok, still room for improvement but hey that's the journey.
Changed pattern in morning routine on work days, on leash walks rather than letting the pooch run free which means I daudle along.
The ops part was today... Yup choc, crisps, chips...total stress eating. Well rather than slid on my days off I'm going have to be super struck to claw it back... Oh yeah and walk from here to Timbuktu !!
Maybe should change title to confessional

Sounds like you made some positive changes this week, and well done for doing that.
Sorry to hear you had some stress eating today, and glad to hear you're keeping a 'leash' on that and you're determined to 'claw it back' - sometimes venting can be really therapeutic, so great that you're sharing it here, and hope you have a great weekend. Perhaps you'll have chance to relax a bit, and de-stress - good luck with everything.
Well I hope you have your passport ready because Timbuktu is location on the west coast of Africa, in Mali! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timbuktu
Bugger about the stress eating - all you can do is what you are doing - get back on the horse BUT .... really try to identify what happened and how you can change or prevent it next time.
And it doesn't matter how many times you fall down its how many times you get up that counts.
Well Done! You've spotted that this process is one of learning and personal development. Noticing what thoughts and feelings we have ad how we react to them. I used to notice when I was getting stressed by the empty 200g chocolate bar wrappers next to me in a little heap in the car. I could down one bar still in the supermarket car park! I had to learn about stress and find better ways to address is (Communication Skills & Mindfulness BTW). I'm still learning!
Once you become able to notice that you are stressed, depressed, angry and are able to give that set of thoughts and feelings a name you are more than half way there. First you spot it after the event, then you spot it as it happens and you are in a completely different place.
I'd not thought of mindfulness, will revisit that and build more positive ways of self soothing.
I am thinking of putting a pot in my car and each day put a Β£1 in at the end of the week get myself a non food treat.... Not sure what yet, but will get some ideas beyond a bath bomb !!
