Had a wonderful few days in Liverpool with my dearest friend, shoppng, sightseeing and dining out on lovely food. We laughed and gossiped late each night, heading home to Lincolnshire very late last night. The first thing I did this morning was weigh myself, hardly daring to look down at the digital number flashing by my feet. 3lb lost!!!!! My smile is so wide and I am feeling fab, fab, fab. Life is looking good, I still have another 6 days off work with a trip to the musical 'Cats' to look forward to on Wednesday. Best of all though, I have now lost my first stone in weight. Yep, 14 pounds of wobbly blubber gone.
I'll say it again, LIFE IS GOOD, WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!πππππππ

Thanks Flossie, my body is telling me I am being kind to myself as it is already noticing even this small percentage of what is needed to be lost. My joints, especially my knees, are enjoying having to carry around a little less blubber, lol.
Hope your week is going swimmingly too. π
Well done! Sightseeing and shopping you can walk a lot and when talking you are not eating! I find being busy and sociable I am not so hunger concious but you must also have made wise choices when eating out. A stone off is definitely a reason to smile! Keep on till till you reach your goal . π

Thankyou hun, I stayed away from the help yourself buffet at breakfast and had a poached egg on a slice of granary toast instead. At lunch I opted for undressed salad with a cuppa, then had free range at dinner but only drank sparkling water. My friend phoned to say she had put 1 1/2 lb on, but she had the full cooked +cereal+toast/preserves breakfast, then cuppa and cake for lunch, we ate the same dinner but she had wine with hers. Mind, she says it was well worth it. Truth be told, I would still be smiling too as it really was a lovely few days. π

Well you have the memories and the weightloss. Extra congratulations for not matching your friend mouthful for mouthful. You are a star πππ
Hey Shellie smiling here too, so pleased for you. Agree with Flossie it must have been the talking and laughing. Enjoy the rest of your time off work and celebrate that excellent 1 stone milestone

Cheers Ruth, we did a minimum of 18000 steps too ( Tuesday we did 32000- no wonder we were shattered). Pedometers are handy wee things, though my friend used her Iphone app.
How did your few days away go? Hope you had as fab a time as I did on my little jaunt. π

I had a good time too but unfortunately caught a cold on Friday which thankfully went just in time to do some major peak district walking on Monday (about 12 miles altogether down Dovedale and back) and enabling me to have a great time at the wedding on Tues. But been struggling with low energy, feeling hungry, low in iron etc since I got back, which I often get after a cold, and also haven't done any running partly because of being tight for time fitting a weeks work into two days and partly allowing myself to fully recover. So not been fully in control, but the scales will tell all on Monday...

Oh 'eck, you seem to have had a real up and down week. Glad you managed to recover from your cold in time to have a nice break though. Hope the scales will be kind to you on Monday hun. π
Thankyou Dave, totally agree about the 'buzz' you get from dropping excess poundage, even 1/2 lb off is thrilling. Hope all is going well for you too. π
Congratulations! You've done so well to lose 3 pounds, and reach your first stone of weight loss. Really great! Hope you enjoy 'Cats' and the rest of your holiday.
Thanks lowcal. I must admit I am feeling a little chuffed at the minute. Don't want to cloud the bigger picture though, there is a longgggg way to go. π
