Hi
Have a look at nhs 12 week plan. Working for me , am on about week 22 i think. Lost 2.5 stones. Have a long way to go but can't believe how much lost. Nhs plan is basically limiting calories and moving more. If can try and cut out obvious sugar ( i know it is hard ) as this made difference to me. After a while cravings do get easier! Good luck this site is good for encouraging. Think of it as healthy eating, with changes you can maintain for lifestyle changes...little steps first and they all add up!
Hi Im a newbie too. Joined this morning and starting the 12 week programme. I feel determined to shift my weight. Having seen my holidays pics I could have cried. Its time for a new me!
Hi,
I am new too. Just signed up this morning and going to follow the 12 week plan. I need to shift about 4 stone to take me to my ideal weight.
I am looking for a bit of support and encouragement too. Good luck x
Hi mojomolly. I started in pretty much the same situation as you needed to lose about 5 stone. I downloaded the myfitnesspal app on my phone which allows me to log all my calories for the day and it's quite user friendly. You enter your height, weight and how active you are and it calculates how many calories you need to get a 2lb weight loss a week, but I found actually lost a bit more each week. I've lost about 20lb and still have a way to go but fallen off the wagon a bit as not been using my app. I hope this info is useful to you and that you get on great. Just remember if you have one bad day it doesn't mean you have to have a bad week just start straight back on your plan the next day. Wish you the best of luck and this forum is great for help, advice and motivation. You go girl and look forward to your posts
