Really need to loose weight. It's effecting my health, my mood and my life in general.
I have zero motivation!! You would think the above would be motivation in itself but no!! I would say I'm an emotional eater and in the last years my life has been up and down and I can't seem to get that day where u say today is the day I change my ways.
With two kids and not much support I don't have much time to myself.
Any advice

Start the NHS 12 week weight loss program. I've observed that filling the given chart daily by using myfitnesspal app (to track food & calorie count) is an eye-opener. It shows you a pattern and over a period of time you start noticing and making changes to your intake. My advice is just start the program by filling the chart and using myfitnesspal app. Read the guide and make changes to your eating.
Hey arbitdude is right, just start no big announcements or plans, just track what you eat and try to be more active, I do it while watching tv as time is an issue.
On the emotional front maybe it would be good to talk to someone I know it sounds awful but I went through talking therapies and it really helped me to deal with inner demons and emotions
Hi totally know where your coming from, I have a few Heath issues, and gp thinks it's due to be being overweight. As its being going in for awhile, I start well on plans I've tried but always fail. I have a very stressful life and have no support at all, single parent with children who have extra needs, but I am determined to stick to this, for my kids and my health, Ive also been looking and researching the 5:2 diet, looks good good luck to us all on this weight loss journey
I could have wrote that myself! I'm struggling with will power and motivation. As I'm getting older I'm getting more lazy and piling the weight on. I know what I should be eating and how good exercise is but putting into practice is another matter. I hope you find your motivation and succeed in your weight loss journey. You're not on your own. Good luck x
Put a stop to emotional eating. All too often, we turn to food for comfort and stress relief. If you eat when you’re stressed, find healthier ways to calm yourself. Try exercise, meditation, walking around the block, listening to energizing music, or taking a short nap. Find a cheering section. Social support means a lot. Seek out support—whether in the form of family, friends, or a support group—to get the encouragement you need.
