Many here have been on that cycle, my previous two attempts ended up with me putting on some but not all of the weight back on, so lost 5 put 3 back on, lost 2 and put 1 back on. My problem is I have to keep my eye on the ball or else..........which means a regular weigh in for me and an eating plan, long term that works, gingernut has had phenomenal success with the 5:2 as she has adopted it as a way of eating.
Morning Pussycat46. Life is too short to put it all back again. It's your precious body, its your precious life and only you can look after it properly. Good luck with losing it and keeping it off this time. Just tell yourself that each day is your new day to lose a bit more by eating mostly healthy food and doing some exercise and enjoying your day too. Happy eating. We are here if you need us :O)
Thank you for your kind encouragement which I greatly appreciate. I will pray for perseverance to carry on my healthy way of life. I wish you a wonderful life too. God bless!
Hi
Yes, phenomenal success as it's the first diet that's ever worked for me and the weight has stayed off!
Firstly, watch this excellent programme that changed my life disclose.tv/action/viewvide...
This little video sums it up quite nicely youtu.be/W9Aj6hRYg4A
Then get Kate Harrison's book called "The 5:2 Diet" and a free app called MyFitnessPal.
Then off you go!
I lost three stone in six months and have kept it off since April 2013 by just 'fasting' (500 calories) twice a week.
I also started the NHS Couch to 5K running programme (I couldn't run for a bus before!) and now I run three times a week.
I'm 64 and I've never been as slim, healthy or fit!
Maybe you could think about why you lost and why you put it all back again. What did you do - lessons about what not to do in future!
a free app called my fitness pal its brilliant ! good luck x
That's what it's all about - support. Without it we only have that little voice inside us saying "go on, just one won't hurt" and we've all listened to that voice too often. Trouble is, one inevitably leads to 2, 3 or more. Stay strong, you can do it!!
