Yes, yes, yes - it's brilliant! I've tried so many diets over the years but always put the weight back on again, and more. I lost three stone in six months up to last April and have maintained my weight loss ever since by just fasting one day a week. Do watch the original BBC Horizon programme that started it off - vimeo.com/54089463 - that's an excellent place to start. And then I'd recommend either Kate Harrison's book "The 5:2 Diet" or Michael Mosley's "The Fast Diet". If you have any questions please do ask me - I'd be happy to answer any you have.

I have lost weight, but according to fittness pal and my wii board I am losing it to quick. I do not think it has anything to do the 5:2, I cannot get out of the habit of counting calories on my fast days. I am not having any side effects, well maybe struggling a bit on cycling but that's could be other factors. Do you think I should fast one day a week or try and increase my calories on fast days. To me if I feel ok in the gym and doing every day tasks cannot see a problem. At the moment I am losing 2ib a week. I have lost a stone in 6 weeks, but been on the 5:2 for 3 weeks. I

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the comments of the WiiFit Board. It recommends 3 pounds loss per 2 weeks, in order to permanently keep the weight off once you're lost it, so you are only marginally over. For a laugh do the 2 little exercises it asks you to do when you weigh yourself and it calculates your 'WiiFit age', yesterday I was 26, today I was 31, last weekend I was 42! Its not scientific.
